The protocol thesis.
An agent economy needs primitives that make autonomy legible to enterprises, financial institutions, other agents, and the humans ultimately responsible for them.
Agent identity
Every participant should resolve to a durable identity, an owner, a purpose, and an explicit operating scope.
Economic credit
Counterparties should be able to evaluate a history of bounded commitments, outcomes, limits, and economic reliability.
Agentic payment
Movement of value should carry purpose, permissions, budgets, evidence, and accountable settlement with it.
Machine autonomy does not remove human authority. It makes the boundary of that authority more important.
The research program is developing the identity, credit, and payment primitives required to make those boundaries visible and durable.
